She was predeceased by: her husband George Howard Morgan; her parents, John Mark and Mary Edice League Battson; and her siblings, Johnny Battson and Gena Whitworth of Lavonia, Georgia..

She is survived by: her children, Carole Nicholson (late Gene), Jerri Peiffer and Nick Morgan (Bonnie); and her nieces, Cheryl Slater of Franklin Springs, Georgia. and Patricia Whitworth of Franklin Springs, Georgia.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
