He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Gilbert Whitesides and Willie Tate Whitesides; his wife Mary Elizabeth Parker; and his daughter Debbie Alexander. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stephanie Whifield (Tim) of Loganville, GA, Audrey Alexander of Loganville, GA and Zack Alexander (Amanda) of Ft. Lawn, SC; his great grandchildren, Riley Alexander, Aidan Alexander and Heather Vose (Dustin); and his great great grandchildren, Lyanna Vose and Kodie Fouts.
