He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Phillips and Lillie Scott Phillips; and his brothers, Harry, Gordon, Edward, Harold, Gerald, James and Bobby Joe Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Carol Carden; his son Jeffrey Ross Phillips (Gloria Gale Phillips) of Monroe, GA; and his grandchildren, David (Ashley Phillips), Caleb Phillips, Rebekah (Fernando Herrera), Jeffrey Kelton Phillips and Haley (Alex Hosey). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
