He was predeceased by: his mother Lenna Grace Johns; and his brother Bobby Willis. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hadden Willis; his children, Beverly "Tina" Gray (Dale) and William "Tony" Willis; his grandsons, Casey Hemphill, Cameron Willis, Carter Willis and Austin Cook; his stepchildren, Amanda Hadden Cook and Tim Cook; and his father-in-law Myrick, Jr..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Point Hospice of Macon.
