She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Nicholson and Virginia Nicholson; and her husband Stephen Byrd. She is survived by: her son-in-law Reverend Benjamin Newberry; her children, Jenny Rowell (Brant), Ashley Newberry (Benjamin) and Stephen Byrd (Sherri); her siblings, Dan Nicholson and Teresa McCormick; and her close friend Nancy Harris.
