He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Rana Pratap Singh and Tovinder Singh; his grandchildren, Nichelle Verdia and Vincent Singh; and his sisters, Yvonne Permaul, Lolita Douglas, Olive Shaw, Shante Singh and Bernice Singh.
Basant K. Singh, known by his loved ones as Saga, was born on November 19, 1943 and after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for the past several years, he passed on April 30, 2024.
