It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Copeland of Lawrenceville, Georgia, born in Orlando, Florida, who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Rex Copeland; her parents, Lawrence Lyon and Annie Lyon; and her brother Major Lawrence Lyon, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Carter, Jr. (Michelle), Christa Carter and Timothy Carter (Huntley); her stepdaughters, Nancy Hamachek (Johnny), Sandra Copeland and Debbie McPherson; her grandchildren, Ashley (Cal), Tyler, Mady (Tyler), Hayden, Ansley, Andy (Sheena) and Kelly; and her great grandchildren, James, Sadie, Phoenix, Jacob and Kaleb.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Annie to be made to Prospect United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville for the benefit of its youth ministry.
