He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Joseph Smith, IV and Edna Quade Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Darlene "Jani" Smith; his children, Alan (Nadene) of Colorado and Stephanie (Dock) of California; his stepson Rick Callahan (Brandy) of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Noel of Marshall, K. C., Cierre, Chole and Noah. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
