It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Thornton Bennett of Lavonia, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Calvin Thornton and Mary Sue Mauldin; and her son Brent Burnette. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Jason Burnette and Cassie Stancill; her brothers, George Thornton and James Thornton; and her grandchildren, Zach, Brady, Bryce, Jakob, Jackson and Remi.
