It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Chitwood Sewell of Lavonia, Georgia, who passed away on October 7, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Otis C. Chitwood and Lettie Mae Smith Chitwood; her husband Hubert Boyd Sewell, Sr.; her brother Winton D. Chitwood; her son-in-law Tim Hudson of Athens; her son Boyd; her daughter-in-law Lisa Sewell of Lavonia; and her granddaughters, Melissa Hudson Berry (David), Jennifer Hudson Rubio (Eric), Heidi Sewell Mills (Kyle) and Angela Sewell Neal (Kyle). She was also cherished by eleven great grandsons, one great granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
