He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Spears and Annie Mae Spears (Starr); and his brother Harold Spears. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Spears (Haley); his sons, Bryan Spears and Eric; his daughter-in-law Krystle Spears; his brother Truett; his sisters-in-law, Gwen Spears and Mattie Spears; his grandchildren, Nikki Lee (Michael Smith), Jessica Spears, Justin Spears and Katelyn Spears; and his great grandchildren, Kylie, Joanna and Kayson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
