It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Sanders of Lavonia, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Isom Sanders and Annie Mae McCoy Sanders; his brother Ronnie Sanders; and his grandchild Shelby Elrod. He is survived by: his wife Mahala Bratcher Richey Sanders; his children, Brian Sanders of Anderson, SC, Pam Hart of Carnesville and Pat Elrod of Bowman; and his siblings, Harold Sanders of Anderson, SC, Boyce Sanders of Anderson, SC, Doug Sanders of Greenville, SC and Gaynelle McAbee of Belton, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
