With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary York of Lakemont, Georgia, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on May 24, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam McDaniel and Mildred McDaniel; her father-in-law J. P. York; and her aunt Gail Morton. She is survived by: her husband Gary York; her daughters, Katie York (Daniel Wilson) and Colby Robinette (Thomas Robinette); her grandsons, Rylan and Rhett Robinette; her brother Cary McDaniel (Cindy); and her nephews, Sam McDaniel (Jordan) and Joe McDaniel (Tori). She is also survived by her grandsons, friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Battle Branch Baptist Church or Sid Weber Foundation in memory of Missy York.

Although Missy and I hadn’t been in touch since last June, she always held a special place in my heart. She was one of the first people I met at CI Travel and became a lifelong friend.
