He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C., Jr. Hix and Ethel Hix; and his son-in-law Robbie Sherrer. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hix; his children, Patti Alexander (Kirk) of Smyrna, Dean Hix of Jonesboro, Timothy Hix (Monique) of Canton and Cindy Sherrer of Jonesboro; his sister Linda McElhannon (Bill) of Rex; his grandchildren, Justin Hix (Leela), Bonnie Hix Kaddoura (Zach), Heather Hix, Lance Hix (Karren), David Hix (Courtney), Michael Hix, Hannah Alexander, Reade Alexander, Haley Summers and Jonathan Sherrer; and his great grandchildren, Elliot Summers, Wyatt Summers, Lydia Hix, Isaac Hix, Charlie Kaddoura and Jax Hix.
