She is survived by: her husband Gordon David Barnes; her children, Audrey Barnes Mellen (Seth) of Atlanta and David Jon Barnes of Riverdale; her sisters, Connie Gallagher Fahrenkrog and Kathy Gallagher; her grandsons, Seth Mellen IV (Leigha), Graham Mellen (Caitlin) and John Mellen; and her great grandchildren, Charles Mellen, Daniel Mellen and Meredith Mellen.
