He is survived by: his wife Judy Sims; his daughters, Marti Lockhart of Jonesboro and Michelle Parrott of Jonesboro; his son-in-law Philip Lockhart of Athens; his mother Nancy Sims Richardson of Rayburn, AL.; his siblings, William "Buck" Sims of Heflin, AL., Chris Sims of Rayburn, AL., Johnny "Debot" Sims of Bowden, GA, Angela Simpson of Huguley, AL and Regina Richardson of Rayburn, AL; his sister-in-law Brenda Gay; his grandchildren, Brittany Beck (Steven Stone) and Austin Cook; and his nieces, Tesla Simpson Watson, Tiffany Simpson and Taylor Ann Sims. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
