Joseph Woodrow Lamothe Obituary

Mr. Joseph Woodrow Lamothe, Jr., age 70 of Jackson, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Lamothe was born in West Springfield Massachusetts on July 9, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Woodrow Lamothe Sr and Mafalda Theresa Lamothe. Patricia Lyas, Kathryn Maia and Carolyn Cianfrani.

Joe enjoyed spending time with family. Joe was a loving and caring husband, father and Grandfather. Joe was a Correctional Officer for Spalding County Public Works. After retirement, Joe and Diane moved to Grand Isle, LA where Joe managed a Motel for one of his best friends Ricky. Joe and Diane moved back to Ga. to be closer to family and then Joe was a dedicated Shriner with Henry County Shriner club since 2018. He loved fishing, nascar racing, Wrestling, playing cards, collecting collectibles and traveling with his wife.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Diane Lamothe; son and daughter in law, Jason (Kandice) Lamothe; Anthony Lamothe; Grandchildren, Natalie Lamothe, Chason Lamothe, Anthony Lamothe Jr, Xander Lamothe, Kynslee Lamothe and Kason Hayes; sister Theresa Lamothe; Nieces, Ann Marie Lyas, Nikki Lyas, Kimberly Cianfrani; Nephew, Edwin Torres.

A visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Conner-Westbury funeral home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of Conner-Westbury.
