With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Butler B. Whitfield Jr. of Hinesville, Georgia, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Butler B. Whitfield, Sr. and Mary Ann Sutton Whitfield; his sisters, Susan McSwain and Teresa Whitfield; his son Jason Cornell; and his brothers-in-law, Bucky, Robert and Bill Pearson.
He is survived by: his significant other Mary Beth Whitfield; his children, Wendy Whitfield Walker (Brad), Kimberly Cornell Mobley (Jamie Patterson) and Scott Whitfield; his grandsons, Grayson Dickens, Trent Mobley and Mason Mobley; his great grandchild Phillip Jones (PJ); his daughter-in-law Toni Spillane-Cornell; his aunt Jocille Robinson; his siblings, Dalton Joseph Whitfield, Debra Sanders and Melissa Whitfield Varley; and his pets, HoBo, Blue and Little. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
