He was predeceased by: his grandson Nicholaus Kersey; his parents, Ranzel Kersey and Betty Singletary (Winton); and his grandparents, Allen Sr. and Kitty Edenfield.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Mock Kersey; his children, Richard Kersey (Angela) and Crystal Cotrell (Steve); his grandchildren, Brian Kersey (Cheyenne), Saxton, Savannah, Sydney and Stella Cotrell; his great grandchild Waylon Kersey; and his sisters, Tinnie Scales (Melvin) and Marsha Rider (Art).
