It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gavin Seth James of Hephzibah, Georgia, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 16, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Saulena Dee Kirkland Vilano; his uncles, Kenneth E. James Jr., Kevin James and Fred Prescott; and his aunt Sherry Krepps.
He is survived by: his father Vernon Elliott James II; his significant other Mariah Garcia; his siblings, Alyssa Ricks (Chris), Emily Austin, Garrett James, Adrien Young, Bailie Young, Chandler Young, Ryker James and Christine James; and his grandparents, Paulette, Kenneth James, Sherry, Johnny Padgett Jr., Tressa and Eddie Raley. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Because of the family's respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
