He was predeceased by: his mother Laverne Ussery; and his brother Kenny Shirey. He is survived by: his wife Becky Shirey; his daughter Carla Captain; his grandchildren, Isaiah Captain and Alivia Captain; and his sisters, Pam Dyer, Leesa Romines and Linda Vaughn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
