He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Hart Mashburn of Hawkinsville; his children, Marvin Butler "Tate" Mashburn III (Kenzie) of Hawkinsville, Marla Garnto (Don Ceniza) of Hawkinsville, Sherry Milner (Blake) of Eastman and Emily Shilling (William) of Cochran; his brothers, Guerry Mashburn (Michelle) of Atlanta and Larry Mashburn (Angela) of Roswell; and his grandchildren, Taylor Garnto, Kate Simmons (Mart), Baylee Garnto (Ceniza), Sophie Ceniza, Michael Shilling, Patrick Shilling, Sophie Shilling, Charlotte Milner, Wyatt Milner, Lyla Ruby Milner, Brynnon Bell, Briston Bell, Dock Mashburn and Elizabeth Mashburn.
