She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Barrs and Nannie Lee Barrs; and her sister-in-law Linda Allen. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Joseph Carter; her son Zachary Carter (Kerri); her grandchildren, Evan and Morgan; and her siblings, Johnny Barrs (Pamela), Dorothy Mullis, Grace Allen and Mavis Bryant. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
