It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Washington Moore (Harlem, Georgia), who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Moore and Annie Lee Moore; his former wife Betty Moore; his wife Barbara Moore; his stepmother Louise C. Moore; and his brother D. B. Moore, Jr..
He is survived by: his son George Larry Moore; his daughter-in-law Geniene; his siblings, Frank Moore, Gary Moore (Maureen), Ann Parnell and Jennie Swain; his grandchildren, Shannon Burnett (Brad) and Jeff Moore (Shannon); and his great grandchildren, Anna Camille Burnett, Emery Burnett, Kade Moore and Rylee Jewell Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
We ask all guests and family members attending the service to practice social distancing and if medically able, wear a mask. The family regrets that due to the pandemic, no visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, PO Box 32, Appling, GA 30802.
