He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Henry Murphy and Angelee Borders Murphy; and his siblings, Charlie C. Murphy (C. C.), Leroy Murphy, Jineal Murphy, Sr., Terrell Murphy, Vera Gray and Frances Mims.
He is survived by: his sister Zadie Pearl Williams; his children, Sanders Murphy (Valerie), Sabrina Murphy, Delford Murphy (Ella) and Willard Murphy (Breyone); his grandchildren, Latoya King (Scott), Wesley Murphy (Shanell), Tresmond Murphy, Treyana Murphy, Maxwell Murphy and Myles Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Jalen, Scott, Jeremiah, Charlotte, Aniyah, Kenzie and Matthew. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
