He was predeceased by: his parent Bonnie Perry Nix; his son Gary F. Nix, Jr.; and his sister Tammy L. Nix. He is survived by: his father Calvin Nix of Clarkesville; his spouse Olivia Mize Nix; his son Dakota Nix; his mother-in-law Fay Mize of Toccoa; his nieces and nephews, Monica McIntyre, Chris Nix, Clete Bohannon and Allen McIntyre; and also, Hannah Reeves, Donna Bohannon, Boots Bohannon, Jaime Justice and Stacy Justice.
