She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry Mack and Ozelia Akins Mack; and her sister Darlene Morris. She is survived by: her husband Charles Edward Watson; her children, Carla Renee Watson, Walter James Whelchel (Rhonda), Ricky Eugene Whelchel and Chezley Charles Watson (Julia); and her siblings, Naomi Miller (George), Louise Thomas, Emma Rogers (Frank) and Clarence Mack (ELaine). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
