He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Paul and Mary Carmen Elder (Wood); his wife Patra Dorsey Elder; his children, Curtis Elder of Covington, Alan Elder (Debra) of Leesburg, FL, Ethan Elder of Gainesville, Amanda Elder of Helen, Lauren Elder of Atlanta and Kyleigh Elder of Gainesville; his sisters-in-law, Jordan and Cyndel Dorsey (Lexie); his grandchildren, Madison Elder and Nikoma Garrish; his cousins, Roger, Dianne Crawford, O'Neal "Slick", Carol Latty, Jimmy, Valerie Wood and Margaret Ledford; and his pet Willie.
