It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Greta Carter of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Old Buckenham, Eastern, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Hiram Mark Carter; and her children, Arthur Mark Carter and Janice Carter Dubnik. She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Carter Jones; her daughter-in-law Kathy Skarda Carter; her grandchildren, Carla Jones Walker (Spencer), Katherine Carter Dwozan (Charlie), Carmen Dubnik Morris (Daniel), Chadwick Mark Carter (Angie), Christopher Blake Carter (Hana Brown) and Brian Eugene Dubnik; and her great grandchildren, Spencer P. Walker Jr., Annabel Lee Walker, Heidi Kazuko Carter and Adalyn Paige Dwozan.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic social distancing will need to be observed for everyone's health and safety and mask are to be worn.

Greta's vibrant and determined personality was also reflected in her work with multiple charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the B.P. O.E.
