He is survived by: his wife DeAnn Handegard Dumit of Gainesville, GA; his children, Laura Crisco (John) of Simpsonville, SC, Charles Dumit, Jr. (Laurie) of Winder, GA, John Wood, Jr. (Carolina) of Braselton, GA, Alisha Lell (Blair) of Greer, SC and Christina Dumit of Greenville, SC; his siblings, Lynn Lempesis of Greenville, SC, Bob Dumit (Jacque) of Anderson, SC, Karen Wood (Jim) of Anderson, SC, Sharon Dumit of Greer, SC and Anthony Dumit (Pam) of Anderson, SC; his sister-in-law Patsy Dumit of Greenville, SC; and his pet Abby. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many, many nieces and nephews and other family members.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Entombment: Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609, In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
