She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Stanley Holmes and Marian Holmes; and her sister Carole Hendley. She is survived by: her husband George L. Gagel; her children, George C. Gagel (Lynn) of Statesboro and Ginger Porubiansky (Rick) of Woodstock; and her grandchildren, George C. Gagel Jr. of Statesboro, Sarah Gagel of Statesboro and William Gagel of Statesboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, a no kill shelter, in Alpharetta, Ga.
