He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Howard Buckner, Margie Floyd Buckner, Edward H. Verzyl and Bettye Verzyl; and his sister Karen Jean Buckner.

He is survived by: his children, Kristen Buckner Anderson and Erica Buckner Williams; his parents, Jim Buckner and Pat Buckner; his brother Kenneth Buckner (Pat); and his grandchildren, Aemilie, Peyton, Elijah and Alaina. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
