He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer E. Johnson, Sr. and Stella Talley Johnson; and his sons, Eddie McCord and Timothy McCord. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Joann McCord of Morganton, GA; his granddaughter Brittany McCord Mayfield (Havern) of Morganton, GA; his sister Delores; his brother-in-law Thomas Rice of Calhoun, GA; and also, Faye Owenby (Ricky Sanford) of Ellijay, GA, Carolyn Deyton of Mineral Bluff, GA, Ricky and Donna Landress of Epworth, GA. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
