It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Farist of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie Lee Farist and Mary Cleo Moore Farist; and his brothers, Vinson Farist and Billy Farist. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hughes Farist; his children, Jimmy Farist (Cyndee) of Ellijay, Myron Farist (Leslie) of Dawsonville, Juan Farist of Ellijay, Michael Farist (Jennifer) of Ellijay and Murial McClure (Jason) of Blue Ridge; and his sisters, Gail, Renee and Kim. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
