It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harlan Starkey of Ellijay, Georgia, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Starkey and Helen Starkey; and his sons, Jeffery Starkey and Eric Starkey. He is survived by: his wife Kay Starkey; his son Andy Starkey (Shannon); his daughter-in-law Patricia Starkey; his brother Jerry Starkey; and his grandchildren, Dana, Ashley, Corey, Austin, Brynn, Tyler and Katie.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Georgia Mountain Hospice.
