Betty Jean Waddell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2023, at the age of 89, Betty Jean Waddell of Ellijay, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard P. Woody and Bertha Burnett Woody; her husband Farish Albert Waddell; and her brothers, Ernest Woody, James Woody and Donnie Woody.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Waddell, Dennis Waddell (Sarah) and Renee Waddell Walker (Tom); her siblings, Edwin Woody, Tommy Woody (Linda) of Peachtree City and Francine Woody Stanley of Ellijay; her grandchildren, Amber Ivey (Chris), Jason Waddell (Sherry), Brittany Smith (Sam), Amie Walker, Courtney Hayes (Adam), Melodie Queen (Hunter) and Mason Waddell; and her great grandchildren, Breelan Waddell, Colson Waddell, Sawyer Ivey and Cadence Ivey.
However, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cartecay UMC Cemetery Fund at 7629 Hwy. 52 E Ellijay, GA 30536, the Cartecay Women of Faith at 7629 Hwy. 52 E Ellijay, GA 30536, or the St. Judes Children Research Hospital in memory of Mrs. Betty Jean Waddell.
