He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Mitchell; his children, Detra Morris, Micheal Mitchell, William G Mitchell, Randa Colson and Julie Hodges; and his stepchildren, Donald Redding, Sheila Shearouse and Rhonda Martin. He is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
