He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eileen Lloyd Hempleman, Terry Lloyd (Bo), Joyce Lloyd and Emmett Lloyd, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Rom and Roy Messer.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Rom Lloyd; his child Donald Lloyd, Jr.; his wife Lora Anderson; his grandchildren, Jessica Anderson, Coty Wilkerson, Donald Lloyd, III and Jossey Lloyd; his siblings, Emma Lloyd Jeffers and Mable Lloyd; and also, Sherrill Lloyd Anderson, Lorrie Rom Crosby, Leonard Crosby, Debra Rom Ryan, Connie Rom Messer, Angel Cummings Curry, James Curry, Roger Rom, II, Keri Rom, Jimmy Banks and Laura Banks. He is also survived by 41 nieces and nephews, 51 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
