She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ussery and Ruby Burton Ussery; her husband Leon Lewis Gaines; and her sister Alice Phillips. She is survived by: her daughter Melinda Bryant of West Union, SC; her brother Bob Ussery (Millie Fleming) of Fountain Inn, SC; and her grandchildren, Blane Bryant and Macie Bryant.
