It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Louise Dixon Herndon Erwin in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Dewitt Clinton; her former husband William Jackson Herndon, Sr.; her sons, William Jackson Herndon, Jr. and James Henry Herndon; her great grandchild Chance Lonergan; her brother James Albert; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Dixon.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Edward "Bob" Erwin; her stepchildren, Mike Erwin (Cindy) of Elberton, Debbie Erwin Ray of Elberton and Robin Erwin Milburn (Lynn) of Comanche, OK; her granddaughter Kelly Herndon Lonergan of Harlem; her great grandchild Jackson Lonergan; her stepgrandchildren, Chuck Jordan, Ramon Rey, Adam Erwin, Shane Erwin, Levi Major, Rod Major, Chasity Sitton, Dennis Milburn and Derek Milburn; her niece Amy Dixon Yellott (Dan); her nephew Jim Dixon (Shan); and her cousins, Annette Trippe, Vanessa Lee and Mary Toney.
