He is survived by: his wife Donna Powers Davis; his children, Lexie (Zach Bates), Holly (Christian Davis), Gary Kappeler (Hannah Sims), Harley John-Claude Davis of Comer, GA, Jessica Bleifield and Shelly Davis; his sister Claudia Chastain of Jefferson, GA; his grandchildren, Ellie Bates, Raylon Kappeler and Clay Russell Davis; and his nephew Richard Smith.
