He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Scarborough and Mary Frances Moon Scarborough; his sister Mary Ann; and his brother-in-law Jerry Beggs. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jean Leard; his children, Arelia (Randy Lane), Vicki (Kenneth Little), James (Gale Scarborough), Deborah Jordan (late Jimmy Jordan) of Elberton, GA and John Paul (Kelly Scarborough); his siblings, George Earl of Elberton, Jean Scarborough of Elberton, Kenneth of Elberton, Phyllis Scarborough of Elberton and Patsy Scarborough of Elberton; his grandchildren, Amber Little, Brooke, Eric Johanson, Katie Smith, Sandra Scarborough, Will Bundy, Cameron Scarborough, Christopher and Jessica Black; and his great grandchildren, Brynner Jerrell, Erica Johanson, Eli Johanson, Jaleah Scarborough, Mallory Smith, Addy Eakin, Raegan Bundy, Skylair Black, Ava Black and Benjamin Black.
