It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Robert Dillard Rucker of Elberton, Georgia, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luvoid Rucker and Winfret Curry Rucker; and his siblings, Joyce Beamon, Eyeave Rucker, Patricia Heard, Shirley Harper and Rev. Joe Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Kayla Bowman (Chad) and Stacy Mattox (Ann); his grandchildren, Ka'Ziaya, Carson, Kendrell (Gwen), Kanesha, Sermeria and Jordyn; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Somaya, Malaya and NurIyah; his uncle Willie Norman; his aunts, Margie Morrison and Hattie Bradford; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie Morrison (Diane) of Sarasota, FL, Thelma Oliver, Helen Dubose and Angela Jones of Elberton, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
