He was predeceased by: his daughter Lillie Mae Ellison; and his siblings, Ollene Andrews, Lillie R. Evans, Nellie Evans and Jim T. Ellison.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lucy Ellison (Little); his children, Rufus L. Ellison, Jr., Annie Ellison and Lawanda Ellison; his goddaughter Yvette Clements (Ricky) of Eatonton, Georgia; his grandchildren, Martrez Scott (Nakisha) of Warner Robins, ShaKedra Ellison, Lilquita Ellison, Trevon Ellison, DaVeontae Pennamon, KeBreanna Ellison, Yasmine Ellison, TreVaius Hartry, Alexia Hartry, Khamiyah (Shamiyah Ellison) and Maddelyn (Ashton); and his siblings, Curtis (Shirley), Ray Ellison, Lucinda Andrews and Lucy Jones (Willie C.). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
