It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Willie Brantley of East Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Lee Brantley and Charlie Brantley; and his siblings, George Brantley, Lewis Brantley, Charlie Brantley, James Brantley, Richard Brantley, Willie Mae Parker, Geneva Parker and Ethel M. Gatewood.
He is survived by: his wife Trudie M. Brantley; his children, Debra Jean Brantley-Lester (Carlton) of Miami, Anthony Brantley of Wrightsville, Georgia and Bridgette La'Shawn Brantley-Reed (James) of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Gerius Brantley (Shakema) of Sanford, Shawnbreka Brantley-Rawlings (Brandon) of Wrightsville, Georgia, Kea-Juanna Brantley of Atlanta, Jontavia St. Preux and Roshad (Thaddeus Lester); his siblings, Annie Rose Brantley of North Carolina and Eddie Brantley of Miami; and his siblings-in-law, Lula B. Brantley, Lula Mae Butler, Lillie Brantley Shirley Brantley, Eula Johnson and Eddie Mac Thomas of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
