He is survived by: his sister Sybil Adams Herron; his children, James F. Adams, Jr. (Heather), D. Scott Adams (Beth), Jamie, Erin, Abigail, Thomas W. Adams (Tommy), Logan, Colin, Griffin and Elizabeth A. (Fred Steck); his granddaughters, Julia, Lily and Sophie; his son Andrew M. Adams (Alyssa Pinkerton); his grandchildren, Otis and Lulu; and his stepdaughter Page (Fred Holmquist).
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Summit Charter School, Cashiers, NC.
