She was predeceased by: her parents, Alene Davis and Roy Davis; her brother Jerry Davis; and her niece Amy Davis. She is survived by: her husband Robert J "Smokey" Cardell; her children, Michelle Cardell Fain and Jeremy; her daughter-in-law Jona Cardell; her grandchildren, Sydney (Daniel Tipton), Addison Cardell, Garrett Cardell, Baylor Fain and Elisabeth Cardell; her nieces, Robyn Bolen and Kristy Wolfrom; and her mother-in-law Elizabeth Cardell. She is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
