He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Virgil Ellington, Sr. and Elerie Clifton Ellington; his wife Lillie Chambers Ellington; his daughter Heather O'Joy Jones Silas; and his brother Randall "Randy" Ellington.
He is survived by: his children, Lili "Sue" Ellington Bozeman (Raphael "Skip") and Edward "Zeke" Virgil Ellington, III (Rebecca); his son-in-law Andrew Craig Silas; his grandchildren, Jeremy Cole Silas, Ashley Anna Silas Blair (Markus), Sydney Amelia Bozeman, Blake Anthony Bozeman, Charles Edward Ellington and Lylah Jane Ellington; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn McKenzie Blair and Hannah Grace Blair; and his brother Joseph Phillip Ellington (Barbara).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gideon International or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
