As Billy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Billy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Billy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burney and Flora Mae Atkins Burney; his wife Carolyn Virginia Burney; and his children, David William Burney and Kimberly Powell.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Keith Powell; his grandchildren, Isaiah Powell, Naomi Powell and Maria Powell; his sisters, Emma Jean Coleman and Sandy Coleman (Glenn); and his sister-in-law Doris Braswell (Gene). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
