She was predeceased by: her mother Bessie Sara Clark Garver; her husband Bobby Joe Thornton; her daughter Sara Ouieda Thornton; her siblings, Beverly Siddoway (John) of Belgrade, MT, Dr. Paddy R. Garver (Marie) of Show Low, AZ and Earl Jr. of St. Anthony, ID.; and her father Earl R. Garver.

She is survived by: her sister Madeline Garver of Denver, CO.; her nieces and nephews, Dana Thornton of Douglasville, GA, Jackie Rodgers (Jim) of Hahira, GA and Kimberly Hawthorne (Larry) of Phoenix, AZ; her sons, Patrick Thornton (Amy) of Douglasville, GA and Michael Thornton of Heflin, AL; and her grandchildren, Andrew Welch, Ashley Garner (Brian), John Ryan Muesing, Taylor Thornton, Grace Thornton, Cole Rodgers (Alden) and Clark Rodgers. She is also survived by great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
